Unfortunately our celebration has been cancelled due to rain. A date later in the summer or fall will be announced soon! We will also relocate the celebration to Pat Clancy’s large yard in Lisle. Stay tuned!

Please come to Hidden Lake Forest Preserve for a picnic and hiking and to help us commemorate our 30th Anniversary as a Wild Ones chapter! There will be CAKE!!

Entrance is on Route 53, ¼ mile south of Route 56 (Butterfield Road). There is plenty of parking and nice restroom facilities.

Due to continuing COVID precautions, we decided to ask each of you to bring your own picnic food rather than have a potluck. Lemonade and ice water will be provided, as well as paper cups. You are welcome to bring your personal water bottle and fill it from our thermos jug.

Greater DuPage Chapter was formed 30 years ago, the first Wild Ones chapter outside of Wisconsin. At that time, it was called the Northern Illinois Chapter. Because the geographic area was quite large, we soon sponsored several “seedling chapters” which are now thriving as Greater Kane Chapter and West Cook Chapter, as well as one in the south suburbs which is no longer active. We continue to welcome new members and grow our chapter. Please come to Hidden Lake and help us commemorate our 30th Anniversary as a Wild Ones chapter.
