February 22, Saturday
Online ordering available for Lake County Forest Preserves Online Native Plant Sale
Prefer to shop from home and have purchases shipped to your door? Online sales are available through Possibility Place Nursery’s website. Perennial flats require purchases in multiples of 18, in any combination of species. Some perennials are also available in a 1-gallon size. Species available while supplies last. If your desired plant is out of stock, please enter your name and email in the “Notify Me” section to be alerted when the plant is restocked. Trees and shrubs will begin shipping April 1. Forbs and grasses will ship in May. Possibility Place Nursery will notify you when your order ships.

March 1, Saturday
Online ordering begins for Sag Moraine Spring 2025 Native Plant Sale
Garden design packages and native plant starter kits from Stellar Natives, native shrubs from Fiore Nursery, and full flats of select native groundcovers from Midwest Groundcovers will all be available for pre-order on March 1st. All orders must be picked up at the Sag Moraine Native Plant Sale at Moraine Valley Community College, 9000 College Pkwy, Parking Lot D3, Palos Hills, IL on May 31st between 9am and 2pm.

Online Ordering for Citizens for Conservation Spring Native Plant, Shrub & Tree Sale
The sale is one of the largest in the area, offering more than 200 varieties of native plants, including perennials, ferns, sedges, grasses, shrubs and trees. All plants sold are free of neonicotinoid pesticides. This year’s sale will also feature two special garden packages, featuring plants that support pollinators. Pre-order pickup will be Friday, May 2 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday May 3 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Hill ‘N Dale Preserve located at 11801 Ridge Road, Barrington Hills, Illinois. CFC members will also be able to shop the in-person sale on May 2, and CFC members get a 10% discount all days.

March 15, Saturday – May 11, Sunday
Online ordering for West Cook Wild Ones Native Plant Sale
Pick up can be scheduled for June 5th, 6th, and 7th in Maywood at Forest Preserve District of Cook County Central Warehouse, 2199 S. 1st Ave, Maywood, IL or June 6th and 7th in Lemont at Sagawau Environmental Learning Center, 12545 W. 111th St., Lemont, IL. There is a 10 percent discount for Wild Ones members in any chapter. In the discount code area, use MEMSAVE10. There is also a 10 percent discount for Conservation@Home members, use the discount code C@H10. West Cook Wild Ones is partnering with the Forest Preserves of Cook County, Conservation @ Home and University of Illinois Extension.

April 1, Tuesday, 8 am
Tickets go on sale for Forest Preserve District of DuPage County Native Plant Ticketed Presale
Shop early and in person for native wildflowers, grasses, shrubs, and trees on May 15th, one day before the sale is open to the public. A ticket is required for this event. Only 300 tickets — or 100 tickets per hour starting at 4 pm are available for this exclusive shopping event.

April 5, Saturday, 1 pm
Online ordering deadline for Friends of Volo Bog Native Shrub & Tree Spring Sale
Order early – supplies are limited. Order Pick-up Saturday, April 12, 9 am-12 pm at Volo Bog State Natural Area behind the Visitor Center. All proceeds will support educational programs, projects, and events at Volo Bog State Natural Area.

Online ordering for The Conservation Foundation McDonald Farm Annual Plant Sale
Pre-order native plant kits and trees. Pickup is at McDonald Farm, 10S404 Knoch Knolls Rd, Naperville on Saturday, May 10th. There will also be an in-person sale on this date at McDonald Farm. Native plants, organic veggie and herb starts, rain barrels, organic compost and more will be available.

April 25, Friday
Last day to order for Schaumburg Community Garden Club and Spring Valley Nature Center Native Plant Sale
Pre-order native wildflowers, grasses, perennials, shrubs, trees, and composters! Each year, the selection varies slightly to offer a variety of plants. While certain core plants are available annually, new species are introduced each year. Orders are filled according to the time they occur. Plant order pick up will be on Saturday, May 17th and Sunday, May 18th at Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Rd., Schaumburg, IL, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. There will also be an in person tent sale on both days.

April 25, Friday
Last day to order for Wild Ones Rock River Valley Chapter 2025 In-Person Native Plant Sale
Online store opens on Monday, March 24th. Members-only pickup is on Thursday, May 8th from 1 to 7 p.m., followed by order pickups and public sales on Friday, May 9th from 1 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 10th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pickup location is 4601 Paulson Rd., Caledonia, IL.

Citizens for Conservation Spring Native Plant, Shrub & Tree In-Person Sale
The sale is one of the largest in the area, offering more than 200 varieties of native plants, including perennials, ferns, sedges, grasses, shrubs and trees. All plants sold are free of neonicotinoid pesticides. Need some planning help? Visit CFC’s Local Native Plant Database. Filters allow you to sort by water need, sun, desired color, companion plants, and desired wildlife or pollinator species that you want to attract. Location for the sale is at Hill ‘N Dale Preserve located at 11801 Ridge Road, Barrington Hills, Illinois.

Wild Ones Gibson Woods Annual Native Plant Sale

Over 100 species of flowers, grasses, sedges and shrubs including prairie, wetland, shade and woodland. This outdoor event is RAIN or SHINE – please dress accordingly. Please bring your own boxes. Cash, checks or credit/debit cards accepted. Arrive early for best selection! Location is Lake Etta County Park, 4801 W. 29th Ave, Gary, IN.

May 4, Sunday, 12 pm to 3 pm
The Wildlife Preservation & Propagation Committee Native Plant Sale
Over 150 quality, locally grown, native plant species are available including plants for every environment: prairie, savanna, woodland, and wetland. Many of our members are on hand to answer questions and help with getting the right plant in the right environment. Plan on arriving early for the best selection because people start lining up around 11:00 a.m. A little pre-planning is helpful so you know where to go for what you are looking for. Quantities may be limited and due to crop failure, some may not be available. There will also be a book table with an extensive selection of titles on our natural world.

Wild Ones Greater Kane County Chapter Public Plant Sale
There will be a wide selection of native plants to buy — plus the opportunity to ask questions and get advice. Plants will be sourced from Taylor Creek, Possibility Place, Majestic Oaks, Country Road Greenhouses, Midwest Groundcovers, and Pizzo. Sale will be at Gray Willows Farm in Campton Township, 5 Corron Rd, Campton Hills, IL, 60175.

Crestview Garden Club Of Elmhurst Annual Plant Sale
Native plants, shrubs and trees will be species available along with other perennials, herbs, groundcover, and houseplants. Sale will take place at The Depot at Wild Meadows Trace, 511 South York Street, Elmhurst.

Schaumburg Community Garden Club and Spring Valley Nature Center Native Plant Tent Sale
Choose from native wildflowers, grasses, perennials, shrubs, trees, and composters! Each year, the selection varies slightly to offer a variety of plants. While certain core plants are available annually, new species are introduced each year. This year, 4,600 forbs, grasses, perennials, and shrubs have been pre-ordered! Pre-orders are encouraged if you have specific plants in mind and are available until April 25th. Sale will be at Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Rd., Schaumburg, IL, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Lake County Forest Preserves In-Person Native Plant Sale
Choose from a variety of plant species including native flowers, ferns, forbs and grasses. As you shop, learn about eco-friendly practices to benefit your home, wallet and community. Experts will be available at the sale to answer questions. Inventory is limited and first-come, first-serve. Location for the sale is Independence Grove Forest Preserve, 16400 Buckley Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048.

May 31, Saturday, 9 am – 2 pm
Sag Moraine Spring 2025 Native Plant Sale
Sale will be at Moraine Valley Community College, 9000 W College Pkwy, Parking Lot D3, Palos Hills, IL 60465. Thousands of native plants will be available for individual purchase. In addition, garden design packages and native plant starter kits from Stellar Natives, native shrubs from Fiore Nursery, and full flats of select native groundcovers from Midwest Groundcovers will all be available for pre-order.
