Spicebush Swallowtail caterpillars from Joe, Sue and Becky LeCroy’s yard 7/23/20. The LeCroys collected the mama’s eggs 1 month ago. They are a lot slower to develop than Monarchs. They are getting close to forming their chrysalis. Help the Spicebush Swallowtails out by planting a Spicebush!

Spicebush Swallowtail caterpillar from Joe, Sue and Becky LeCroy’s yard 7/19/20. The LeCroys found eggs on their Spicebush (Lindera benzoin) which is a host plant for the caterpillars and are raising the caterpillars in their butterfly nursery.
