Volunteer or Donate to Help Eagle Scout Restore Small Pond in Lyman Woods

| News

Shreemann Patel is an Eagle Scout from Troop #10 Hinsdale, based out of the Union Church of Hinsdale. He has embarked on a mission to make a positive impact on our local environment. As part of his journey towards achieving the coveted Distinguished Conservation Service Award, Shreemann is taking on two additional conservation projects, in addition to the pollinator garden he created at Lyman Woods to earn his Eagle Scout rank.

His first project involves restoring a small pond (more like a permanent ephemeral pool) in Lyman Woods, which is currently choked out by invasive species, polluted, and unsuitable for life. Shreemann’s goal is to return it to its former glory. He is actively seeking volunteers and donations to help bring this project to completion.
