Online ordering begins for Lake County Forest Preserves Online Native Plant Sale
Sales are open now for the online Native Plant Sale, hosted with Possibility Place Nursery. Purchases from the online sale are shipped to your door.

March 1, Sunday – April 4, Saturday (or until order capacity is full)
Online Ordering for Citizens for Conservation Spring Native Plant, Shrub & Tree Sale
The sale is one of the largest in the region, offering more than 200 species of native plants, including perennials, grasses, ferns, sedges, shrubs, and trees. All plants are grown without neonicotinoid pesticides. Pre-order pickup and the members-only sale will be Friday, May 1 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., and the public sale will be Saturday–Sunday, May 2–3 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Hill ‘N Dale Preserve, in the CFC Plant Sale Barn, located at the northwest corner of Ridge Road and West County Line Road in Barrington Hills, Illinois.

March 1, Saturday – May 15, Friday
Online pre-ordering for Sag Moraine Native Plant Community 2026 Native Plant Sale
Pre-order garden design packages, native shrubs and trees and bulk native plug flats. Pre-sale orders must be picked up in person on June 6 at the in-person plant sale at Moraine Valley Community College, 9000 W College Pkwy, Parking Lot D3, Palos Hills, IL.

March 15, Sunday – May 11, Monday
Online ordering for West Cook Wild Ones Native Plant Sale
Pick up can be scheduled for June 4th, 5th, and 6th in Maywood at Forest Preserve District of Cook County Central Warehouse, 2199 S. 1st Ave, Maywood, IL or June 5th and 6th in Lemont at Sagawau Environmental Learning Center, 12545 W. 111th St., Lemont, IL. There is a 10 percent discount for Wild Ones members in any chapter. In the discount code area, use MEMSAVE10. There is also a 10 percent discount for Conservation@Home members, use the discount code C@H10. West Cook Wild Ones is partnering with the Forest Preserves of Cook County, Conservation @ Home and University of Illinois Extension.

Online pre-ordering for Wild Ones Rock River Valley Chapter Spring 2026 Native Plant Sale
Offering over 120 plant species native to Winnebago and surrounding counties with over 10,000 individual plants! Members-only pickup is on Thursday, May 7th from 1 to 6:30 p.m., followed by general order pickups and public sales on Friday, May 8th from 1 to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 9th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Note: New pickup and sale location is Boone County Fairgrounds, 8791 IL Route 76, Belvidere, IL

April 1, Wednesday, 8 am
Tickets go on sale for Forest Preserve District of DuPage County Native Plant Ticketed Presale
Shop early and in person for native wildflowers, grasses, shrubs, and trees on May 14th, one day before the sale is open to the public. A ticket is required for this event. Only 300 tickets are available for this exclusive shopping event. New 2026 location for the sale is at DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Road in Wheaton, IL.

April 12, Sunday 
Last day to pre-order Kane Native Plant Sale
Sale is hosted by the Kane Forest Preserve Foundation. Pick up your pre-ordered plants on Saturday, April 25, at the in-person sale at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, Creek Bend Nature Center, 37W700 Dean Street, St. Charles, IL.

Online ordering for The Conservation Foundation McDonald Farm Annual Plant Sale
Pre-order expert-created native plant garden kits, Green Earth Harvest-grown certified organic vegetable seedlings and herb kits, organic compost, worm castings, rain barrels, and native trees and shrubs for pick-up at McDonald Farm during our in-person sale on May 9th. Native plant kits are designed to be an easy way to add native plants to your gardens, and themed vegetable kits offer a simple, fun, and delicious way to grow at home. Kits, trees, and shrubs are pre-order only and will not be available for purchase at the in-person sale. Individual plants will be available at the May 9th sale and are not available for pre-order.

April 24, Friday
Last day to order for Schaumburg Community Garden Club and Spring Valley Nature Center Native Plant Sale
Pre-order native wildflowers, grasses, perennials, shrubs, and trees. Most of the prairie plants are provided as small 2.5″ plugs with developed root system in a 4” deep soil mass. Most woodland plants arrive in 3 – 4-½” pots. All trees and shrubs come in 5-gallon potted plants. Plant order pick up will be on Saturday, May 16th and Sunday, May 17th at Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Rd., Schaumburg, IL, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. There will also be an in person tent sale on both days.

Kane Native Plant In-Person Sale
Sale is hosted by the Kane Forest Preserve Foundation and will take place at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, Creek Bend Nature Center, 37W700 Dean Street, St. Charles, IL. Pre-orders are available until April 12. You can also purchase an early bird ticket ($15 per person) for access to the sale from 8 am – 9 am.

Citizens for Conservation Spring Native Plant, Shrub & Tree In-Person Sale
The sale is one of the largest in the area, offering more than 200 varieties of native plants, including perennials, ferns, sedges, grasses, shrubs and trees. All plants sold are free of neonicotinoid pesticides. Need some planning help? Visit CFC’s Local Native Plant Database. Filters allow you to sort by water need, sun, desired color, companion plants, and desired wildlife or pollinator species that you want to attract. Location for the sale is at Hill ‘N Dale Preserve, in the CFC Plant Sale Barn, located at the northwest corner of Ridge Road and West County Line Road in Barrington Hills.

May 2, Saturday, 9 am to 1 pm
SCARCE Growin’ Green Garden Market
Native plants will be available along with organic vegetable and herb seedlings, compost, rain barrels, garden tool sharpening, hands-on kids activities, crafts, local eco-vendors, and gardening books. Location is SCARCE 800 S Rohlwing Rd (IL Rt 53), Addison, IL (About 1/2 mile north of North Ave on the west side of the street.)

May 2, Saturday, 9 am – 3 pm
Wild Ones Gibson Woods Annual Native Plant Sale

Over 100 species of flowers, grasses, sedges and shrubs including prairie, wetland, shade and woodland. This outdoor event is RAIN or SHINE – please dress accordingly. Please bring your own boxes. Cash, checks or credit/debit cards accepted. Arrive early for best selection! Location is Lake Etta County Park, 4801 W. 29th Ave, Gary, IN.

May 3, Sunday, 12 pm to 3 pm
The Wildlife Preservation & Propagation Committee Native Plant Sale
Over 150 quality, locally grown, native plant species are available including plants for every environment: prairie, savanna, woodland, and wetland. Many of our members are on hand to answer questions and help with getting the right plant in the right environment. Plan on arriving early for the best selection because people start lining up around 11:00 a.m. A little pre-planning is helpful so you know where to go for what you are looking for. Quantities may be limited and due to crop failure, some may not be available. There will also be a book table with an extensive selection of titles on our natural world.

Native perennial plants will be available along with vegetable, herb, flower and annual plants, compost, mulch, garden items, wagon rides and other activities. Location is 550 Harris Road, Grayslake, IL.

Forest Preserve District of DuPage County Native Plant Sale

Shop in person for over 170 different types of native flowers, grasses, shrubs, and trees and get tips and recommendations from on-site plant experts. Inventory depends on suppliers and is not guaranteed. Supply is not restocked daily. Sale is rain or shine, and there’s no early entry. Cash, credit, and checks are accepted. Bring your own boxes or wagons for easy shopping. Get ready to shop at a new location for 2026: DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Road in Wheaton, IL.

Schaumburg Community Garden Club and Spring Valley Nature Center Native Plant Tent Sale

Lake County Forest Preserves In-Person Native Plant Sale
Choose from a variety of plant species, including vibrant flowers, hardy forbs and native grasses. Learn about eco-friendly practices that benefit your home, wallet and community. Experts will be onsite to answer questions and offer guidance. Prices vary, and inventory is limited, so come early. Don’t forget to bring boxes to transport plants. Plants will be supplied by Country Road Greenhouses and Bombus, LLC. Online orders aren’t available for the in-person sale. Location for the sale is Independence Grove Forest Preserve, 16400 Buckley Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048.

Wild Ones Greater Kane County Chapter Public Plant Sale
There will be a wide selection of native plants to buy — plus the opportunity to ask questions and get advice. Sale will be at Gray Willows Farm, 5N949 Corron Road, Campton Hills IL 60175.
